Harth of Nature Distilling Company was founded in 2018 by native Islingtonians Wayne Richards and Althea Solomon. What they have built is a true testament to the passion of the product and community spirit. In the heart of a charming community nestled in Central St. Mary, they set out with their hand-created “Still”, and a collection Liquor recipes to establish themselves as the area’s premier craft distillery – the first of its kind in Islington, St. Mary.

For Wayne and Althea, crafting exceptional spirits is more than an entrepreneurial business venture; it’s a matter of local community pride and of course personal reputation. These two have taken these beloved local fruits, which are usually consumed for personal pleasure, and turned them into spirited masterpieces.

Knowing that every bottle of rum, wine, liqueur, cognac, and other spirits they serve reaches the hands of so many first-time customers, they maintain an unwavering commitment to excellence, so that they can continue to convert tasters and first-time customers into human billboards and advertisers for their brand. That’s how the word got out in the first place. Their neighbor, Mr. Ralston Livingston was the first paying customer, and he did not keep his purchase a secret.
